If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately to be transported to the nearest emergency room. If you are not experiencing a life-threatening emergency, but need immediate and urgent medical attention, visit one of Sutter’s more than 20 emergency rooms throughout Northern California open, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Some of the common conditions treated in an emergency room include:

  • Difficulty breathing
  • Unconsciousness
  • Severe bleeding
  • Poisoning
  • Chest pain or pressure
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Moderate to severe burns or wounds
  • Convulsions or seizures
  • Serious head, neck or back injury
  • Sudden inability to speak, see, walk or move
